The VenueThe meeting will take place in the Aula Magna of the Dipartimento di Fisica e Astronomia "Garbasso" of the University of Firenze, Largo Enrico Fermi, 2 in Arcetri, Firenze, on the same hill where the Astrophysical Observatory is located. The location is indicated in the Google Map below by the 4-arm spriral symbol. Also indicated on the map is the location of the main building of the Astrophysical Observatory and the historical Villa il Gioiello where Galileo spent the last years of his life, on the hill opposite to the observatory. Buffet lunch will be provided at the venue on Day 2.

Please refer to the emails sent to the participants for more detail and contact information. Other hotels are listed in the Observatory's direction page. The map also indicates an almost random choice of good restaurants located in the part of the city closest to the Arcetri hill (Oltrarno) and some others locate in the south-eastern part which are possibly not so turistic. The list is meant to be a very partial suggestion, feel free to explore!
